Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for the Research Intern - 01 (One) to work in research project titled "Bacteriophages and their products for controlling the biofilms of drug resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae" sponsored by the Science & Engineering Rescarch Board (SERB) - DST, Govt. of India under the Core Research Grant (CRG) scheme under the supervision of Dr. Ashwini Chauhan (Principal Investigator), Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, Tripura University (A Central University), Tripura, India.

 

Educational Qualification: 

Minimum/ Essential Qualification: 3/4th year students in Bachelor's degree (4-year professional degree, min. 18 credits of research) OR First/Second year students in Master's degree in relevant disciplines of life sciences (Biotechnology/AMicrobiology, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications: Good academic record Previous internship experience/experience of working in research project. Recommendation letter from a referee to be send at ashwinichauhan@tripurauniv.ac.in

Job Description: Applying basic microbiological understanding and experimental techniques to complete short-term internship project. Responsibilities: Experimental Data Collection, Weekly-Lab Presentations, report/presentation of internship outcomes. The candidate selected will be offered to continue the work as part of their thesis/ project, in their final y ear, subject to performance review.

Pay Scale:

5000/- (per month)

IIT Roorkee Summer Internship Program ( SPARK ) 2021

Hello,

Starting from 2018, IIT Roorkee offers institute-funded and project-funded summer internships under the SPARK program. The objective of this program is to attract and nurture talented undergraduate students across the country.

Some of the salient features of SPARK program includes:

1. Stipend of Rs. 2,500/week
2. Online, hassle-free application process
3. Students work on focused projects advertised at the time of application
4. Regular progress reviews and poster sessions with awards for best posters

BTech/BE/integrated MSc students/MSc students who would have done two semesters before summer 2020 and have atleast a semester remaining after summer 2020 are eligible.

Internship should preferably be of 8 weeks or more, but not less than 6 weeks in any case. Other students should come during the summer vacation starting from June 1st 2021. Leave is not permitted during internship.
