Directorate of Floricultural Research (DFR)  invites applications for recruitment of Research Assistant.

ICAR-Directorate of Floricultural Research (DFR), Pune is an Institute under Indian Council of Agricultural Research to promote and strengthen floricultural research and enhance the technological base of floriculture in India. The Director, ICAR-DFR, Pune intends to engage Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB DST funded project purely on contractual basis in time bound scheme.

 

Educational Qualification: 

Masters degree in Plant Pathology/ Microbiology with specialization in Plant virology / bacteriological techniques and molecular biology and biotechnology, with valid NET (Life Sciences), ICAR-JRF/NET, GATE (Life Sciences)/ CSIRJRF/ DBT-JRF/ any other equivalent national level eligibility test qualified.

Experience: 1. Gene amplification, PCR, Sequence processing 2. SDS-PAGE, Westem blotting, ELISA and protein activity assays 3. Plant tissue culture

Preference: Candidates having experience in handling phytoplasma and anatomical and biochemical analysis of plants and plant tissue culture will be preferred.

Tenure of the appointment: For a period of 2 months 14 days or the termination of the project whichever is earlier

Pay Scale:

31000/- + HRA (per month)
